Follow Up Conference

The conference will be held in Cremona, the cradle of "Baskin" at the Conference Hall of Cremona Chamber of Commerce Palace on April 27, 2016 at 18:00.

The meeting will feature speeches of Project's partners:  Marco Cardinaletti (project manager at EUROCube), Giorgio Gandolfi (CEO at Giorgio Gandolfi Sport & Marketing), Filippo Colombo (CEO of Convention Bureau Terre Ducali and Adriatic Arena,Pesaro), Antonio Bodini (Chairman of National Baskin Association).

Conference's aim is to present to a wider target group Euro Hoop for All project's results and outputs, to transfer achieved knowledge, to share the acquired experience  and the practices also by means of direct evidence proved by people and athletes (disabled and non-disabled) involved in project's sport activities.

Euro Hoop for All - Kick-off presentation

The Kick-off for the presentation of "Euro Hoop for All" was held on Monday June 19th 2015. Euro Hoop For All is the only Italian entry selected by the European Union at the program Erasmus Plus not for profit European event. It will be held at Pesaro from September 7 to 12, during the European Week of Sport.

Sport and disability: Baskin and Seminars

200 players coming from 8 countries (Italy, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Russia, Spain and Turkey) will play for the Under 17 tournament and the Baskin tournament. Baskin is basketball for everybody, where disabled and non disabled people play together. Health, school, job and disability, these are the topics that international experts during the 4 in-depth workshops.
 

About Baskin

Baskin (Basket for All) was invented in Cremona, Italy, in 2003 by Antonio Bodini, an engineer by profession and father of a disabled daughter, and Fausto Capellini, a P.E. teacher at a local junior high school in Cremona. The objective was to create an activity where everyone – girls, boys, men, and womern, the able and those with physical or mental challenges to overcome – could play together and enjoy to the fullest extent of their abilities. 
 

 

The venues: Pesaro and Adriatic Arena

Pesaro, a city with an ancient basketball tradition, becomes European Capital of "Baskin" with Euro Hoop for All, during the European Week of Sport from September 7 till 12, 2015.
Main venue of the event is Adriatic Arena, the biggest sport arena of Central Italy which hosted some of the most important sporting events in the last two decades.
